The weather is sweet here.............ok now im going into the whole Bob Marley song. Its actually brutally hot here and icky however a wonderful day for the lake! Im gonna get my butt in gear in about 10 minutes and pack up our beach gear that way its already to go when the wee one gets off that summer school bus! I also must search for a new beach read. I finished my "Popism" book which was excellent a great look into the whole pop scene and Andy Warhol's studio "The Factory". I highy highly recommend it for those interested in the sixties and the artists that frequented the scene back then. I have tried to locate "Girl on Fire" which is the newest autobiography on Edie Sedgwick, I have been unable to land a copy because its is backordered and the paperback dosent come out untill mid month. I recently started Marlon Brando's autobiogray but im still into that Warhol scene and I crave more, more. For now I will probably have to settle for one of my many fiction books I havent pickd up yet.
IN other news I have started back with my whimsical, quirky sculptures. I am currently working on one for Will wich I cannot discuss untill given to him. By then I will also have pictures of it that I will take at his house upon his recieving. He always wants to be surprised as where I always want to know. Last month he was working on something for me and I kept trying to search it out in his studio and closests but I never got lucky and in the end I was happy with it being a surprise.
I am very proud of my new projects and the juices are starting to slowly leak through my creative block, phewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! I recently pulled out the knitting basket and realized I have about 3 scarves started in various gorgeous colors. I get so lost sometimes among different things and forget others. I really want to also start a baby blanket for my friend who is due in January but I am trying to wait untill she finds out exactly what she will be having that way I can pick out the colors according to how she will be decorating and all.
My next investment will be a new set of soft pastels and also hopefully a decent camera. I really need the camera for these next upcoming months and the following:
1. My sister's bridal shower
2. The trip finally to Boston with Dawn
3. To document my latest projects
4. The big wedding day in October(my sister's)
5. To take pictures of Will all snazzed up on the big day, this will be our first time all prettied up together!
6. A photo montage of the changing of the colors.............Fall is on its way!
7. JUST BECAUSE I love to photograph everything and havent had a digital since I fell in the river on my sister's property upstate with my almost new camera.
Oh I recently chopped off all the drabby hair growing out of my head. My hair is not the best feature of me, I mean its not bad but when it grows its just there. Whenever I get it cut off I feel like a new women and short hair suits me. PLUS it makes the man happy, he has a thing for short and cute haircuts. Its so much easier to manage and I can go back to wearing my array of headbands with a smile.
THE joys of no hair, I love it!
