Busy as a bumble bee?!!!

I have to tell the truth, I am feeling a tad detached from the Internet this past week.  I mean it is a good thing and a not so good thing all rolled into one.  I do have SFTIO layouts to show and I have stories to share, but I have been just so worn out.  I also have a huge list of blogs to go read over on my Blog Lovin, but I just don't feel like I will have the time until maybe Sunday.  No whoa is me here, I am busy but its all a good thing.  This weekend I have a Brooklyn Roller derby bachorlette party to attend, and I know I will have a blast. I just need a day all to me but it has been hard to come by.

But ok, aside from my lack of time and lack of Internet, I have a layout to share:)

This layout is another April layout from the Scrapbooking from the Inside out kit!  The picture in the layout was from Halloween, I was dressed up as a cat.  Thought it fitted the whole change theme of the layout good, well because change is good!

Be sure to check out the site, we are having a DT call beginning in May.  I have loved working on this team, its a great opportunity.  Definitely worth the try:)

I promise to be back soon, just need to take a breather. I also have pictures of a recent trip to visit some very awesome new friends.  More on that later.  Time for bed.

Just hanging around

Day off!! A little confused on what to do, I mean I have a list but where to start?  This weekend we are off to our friend's in CT and I need to get some  things in order for that.  I also have a few projects to work on, must get a move on!

First though I wanted to show you another layout from the April Scrapbooking from the Inside out kit.

There were a little, itty, bitty hanger in the kit and once again I was stumped(I do love these challenges though, working outside my box)  I finally came up with a little layout about "hanging onto the true me"  Decided that a few smaller pictures of me hanging from it would work.  So I do believe mission accomplished!!

The newest kit for May just landed on my doorstep, I see a few things in there that I would normally not use or try out.  I am really excited to give them a whirl, and let me tell you this May kit is really amazing!!  I know I say that all the time, but I love this one so much.

Now I segue into other happenings! hehe.

Today we finally got Sufjan Stevens tickets!!!! Ahhhh.  If you live in the NY area or just want to travel here August 2nd in Prospect Park in Brooklyn to see him play, the
presale code is HEIRLOOM
It was nerve wrecking occasion to locate it in time but my friend did and well we are finally going to see him:)

The other day I added some more new items into my shop.  One of my favorite finds was a set of puzzles that I still have to list, trying to photograph them the best I can.  But I did add a really nice Kodak Instamatic 104 and some other fun odds and ends!
Be sure to have a browse!

April already? goodness

Goodness gracious!  Its April already.  I have no April fool's day tricks up my sleeve. I tried to do one on my sister but she just saw right through me.  I kind of have my guard up for other jokesters or what have you.  Only 7 hours to go and I am prank free:)

Today is the reveal day for Scrapbooking from The Inside out and our April kit

This kit had some great papers to use, my favorite one was the peacock paper(Dorain Gray from the Classics collection) from American crafts.

I love the teal and yellow together, works well for me.  I think I may have overused it or perhaps I did not.  The theme this month is Resilience which of course can be journaled about in many different ways.

Here is a layout I did about Resilience and it has that peacock paper in it:)

The kit comes with those ballerina chip board pieces and I was a bit confused on how to use them.  I am not a ballerina, I hardly dance, and I have no pictures of anyone dancing.  But then I started to think about ballet dancers and their strength, how they devote themselves and just keep on going, pretty much keep on dancing through life.  I had this picture of me and my two friend's and my one friend's daughter, and its just us goofing off.  The three of us have been through a lot together and as individuals, we totally can be the definition of Resilience for sure.  So in the end the ballerina pieces worked and I sprayed and dripped paint and I think it came together and expressed exactly what I wanted it to express.

In other scrappy news, the newest Creative Type prompt is up.  This month it is Eat, Pray, Love

 (Layout by Danielle, love her)

Basically we want you to chose one of those words that represent you and use it in a layout.  The design team came up with some great examples, so head on over and check it out and of course play along!
