The egg has hatched.......

Well one of them has finally come to life. However I am not happy at all about how they are photographing. I think the pictures are making it look sort of bad, bummer:( Oh well, I cannot fix it until I pick up the darn manual and read how to adjust my camera settings.

The above is one of the 4 birds I sculpted out out of clay. This one is an apple green with brown detailing(which you really cannot pick up in the pictures) I have 3 more still getting worked on, lets see: a red one, a blue one, and a tan one.

I made them all different shapes and so far I am really liking the more simple one like the one I am showing you now. As soon as I finish the rest I will be posting them, so keep a look out for the rest of my little hatch lings:)

Ive got a few other ideas brewing in my head and I hope to play with those later on tonight. I am also going to tackle a project that has been sitting on the sidelines for a few months now, a Strawberry fields mini scrapbook done with Polaroids I took there this past summer.

I am finding tons of inspiration from other artist blogs especially Freckled nest which I mentioned earlier this week. I am really interested in the things you can create, and I have no doubt that I to can make some fun pieces as well.

Another thing that has been catching my eye alot lately is all things Icelandic, Finnish and Swedish. I love the designs that come from these places as well as the music for sure. A blog I found that is full of eye candy would be Camilla...........................and I like to read this blog while listening to one of my new favorite bands Seabear! Me and Will both agree that there seems to be alot of good bands forming over in that part of the world. It must be the magic that surrounds those areas:)

For those of you out there who enjoy a good comic book read once in awhile I highly recommend "The Umbrella Academy". The writer is Gerard Way(lead singer of My Chemical Romance) the cover art is done by James Jean (its amazing) and the inside art is done by Gabriel Bá (not to shabby). In a nutshell 7 children with super powers get adopted by a man by the name of "The Monocle" in the hopes of having them save the world from evil. The story then flashes 20Ty years later, their adoptive father has died and they all have to come together and put aside their differences and get to work on doing what they were suppose to do in the first place..............................SAVE THE WORLD!!! I'm not as good as Will when it comes to writing little summaries of comic books and movies, so go ahead and read more about this series here.

On the cuteness factor I just have to share the following with you. This morning Spike was feeling the Americas Next Top model deal and and posed for the camera for a good 10 minutes. Yes it may look like I have no life taking so many pictures of him, BUT man oh man he is so cute it makes me sick and I usually can never get a good picture of him. So enjoy!!!!

getting there.

Theres an egg in my workspace...........

Whats about to hatch???????????????????
Keep watching to see what comes of this egg!!

Updates and new work spaces!

I finally changed the look of this here blog! Last night I worked for a few hours on above said banner and half way through I had to make an emergency call to the boyfriend for some Photo shop help (thanks tech support guy Will)

Overall I am pleased with the look for now, maybe some minor tweaking here and there over the next few days will be in order but that's about it for now.

I was going to change the name of my blog, however after some thinking I decided not to and Colored Sprinkles prevails.
I got rid of the list of music I had to the right and added a play list instead for your listening pleasure.

So its all peachy keen and purdy for now:)

OK this here is one hilarious ,GEEKY picture of my boyfriend. He is going to kill me but its just asking me to post it to share with the whole wide world. You see he is a nerd of sorts, he considers himself a "Cool Geek" which is true(in some ways). He is an avid comic book collector and action figuree hoarder for sure. Will also dabbles in the art of custom MEGO creating, it floats his boat and with that I am happy for him. This past weekend we went to Joannes where Will came across a pair of magnifying glasses to clip unto his glasses when doing small details. He was sooo thrilled "now I can paint the smaller things that I could not see before" OH BOY!!! Will wore this pretty much all the way home form the store and also pretty much all through conversation with my parents(can you see Dorkerific??)
Of course he has to ham it up for the camera and act like a fool and so goes it.............I own the black mail picture *woooo hooo* And now I am sharing it with you!!!!! The wonderful world of Fanboy Will and his wondrous magnifying glasses.

Now with that whole laughing moment behind us I move onto my newest place to create............................................my closet!!! Your closet you say??? Yup, that's right my Closet!!!! During the holidays I gained mass amounts of art/sewing supplies as well as a shiny new Brothers sewing machine(I love, love) The only problem is, a sewing machine is not so easy to use when you have no place to set it in on while sewing *oh know!!* So here I am with a closet full of junk and disorganization, I'm talking piles of clothes, shoes, bags, books(you get the idea) CHAOS! I finally get my butt in gear and clear out the black hole and the the light bulb goes off inside my head.............a work space that can be closed off and when open it can be multi functional, perfect. Within two days I have 3 shelves, tons of storage, a special spot to place my sewing machine and to sit at while using it, and this is a great one.........a place to store all my DVDS. Just awesome!!!

This is a great idea for anyone working in a super small space, someone with lack of their own special studio or room to create. I'm sure there is multiple ways of going about designing your closet to fit your interests. Mine is just a basic idea, it was made to fit my needs.
I in the end went without a bar to hang my clothes, a matter of fact there are no clothes at all in my closet now. I hope this inspires you to finally create a workspace in your tiny place that you call home:)
I think its super!!!

I was tagged, pardon my delay:)

My flickr/blog friend Jen was tagged on her blog and now she has tagged me. You are suppose to list 7 random things about yourself and then tag 7 more people but I don't know who to tag and if I tag them will they participate?? So I will list as many as I can in the blog world and not in the blog world and we will see. So onto my 7 random facts about me, WA la!!!!
Happy new year everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. I hoard scrap booking supplies like they are going out of style BUT I have yet to put them to use!

2. I am the proud parent of two Iguanas......................Edward(named after Edward Scissor hands) and Marcus(named after Neimen Marcus in honor of my boss)

3. When put together my initials -PAZ- mean peace in Spanish!

4. I have a very big collection of play dough, I love to just squish it when stressed out or bored BUT most of all I love the smell and I think a play dough air freshener would be a grand idea.

5. I am completely unorganized in every single way and I do not know how I would function without being this way, but I am going to try.

6. I am secretly addicted to cheesy reality shows, especially Brett Micheal's Rock of Love(I cannot believe I admitted that)

7. I enjoy reading children's books way more then adults, they are just more fun and interesting, less tense!!!

I tag:
Kait
Leigh-Ann(Freckled Nest, if she reads this)
Autumn Dahlia (Don't know you but I see you posted on my blog:)

And that folks is all I can think of, maybe next time:)

SPC week #2 of the NEW YEAR!!!! and photo contest for "Freckled Nest"

Well would you look at that, its snowing and if that's not reason enough to celebrate then I don't know what is!!! I am a huge fan of the white stuff, and one would know this just by looking in my new handy dandy organizer filled to the brim with scarves, hats, and mittens!!!!! When I heard we were going to be hit with a winter storm I went into happy 8yr old mode, and I still am in that mind set right this minute:)

Today has been filled with some fun classic films such as "Crybaby" man oh man Johnny Depp at his finest:) "Clueless" and earlier the "Simpsons" movie.

have been fiddling around on the Internet as well and have found a new favorite blog.............The Freckled Nest. Good gosh she is talented, as well as inspiring. I love her style, its a good read for sure.

OK, now onto the SPC challenge for the 2ND week of the new year. The theme is still "Celebration" and in honor of today's snow storm and my new purple hat given to me for my birthday from my boyfriend, I celebrate snow and being able to wear cute hats to keep me warm:)

I am also incorporating this challenge with a contest Leigh-Ann has going on over at The Freckled Nest. It is a self portrait contest(it has to be a new self portrait) you were to take a hundred images of yourself and then choose the best one. So here goes!!!

SPC first for the new year!

Over the Christmas break and during our hiatus from SPC I celebrated my 28th birthday. I made myself some cupcakes(pretty pathetic?.....yes but no one seemed oven capable except me) and we had a pizza party. This is right before I blew them out! Heres to next year and the celebration of 29 years!!!!!

"Celebration"
