I have been anticipating this movie and will continue waiting until March 2010(yikes) Anyway here is more reading material with an inside look into this new Burton film.Holy cow the time has flown on by! In less then 4 days I will be flying into Nashville to meet up with Jen and Sandy, from there we will be driving up to Franklin Tenn and meeting tons of other great people. I am starting to get a tad antsy and nervous, I am gonna have to bring my NY tude to a simmer, haha. I am sure we will all hit it off perfectly, a very fun beginning to hopefully some good friendships. If you are reading this and you are attending the Sisiversary event, I cant wait to meet you. Of course I wish all my online, blog buddies could go, would love to meet all of you(one day hopefully) I will be sure to share lots of photos and stories galore of course. Well I'm off of work tomorrow, I have so much to do including the beginning of the packing. Hopefully the sun will shine for a little bit over here tomorrow. I need some color so badly. Its been so dreary and rainy on the east coast, what gives? Well I will leave you with a picture I came across that I took of Will and one of his new friends, lol. I thought it was cute. Night!

"Hey campy campertons" as Mel put it all weekend long. Love that girl. Mel is my good friend from my F.I.T days in Manhattan (for those of you who don't know, it is the Fashion Institute of Technology) Anyway she planned this great camping weekend in Vermont, 22 people total, 6 campsites totally.

Not only did we camp, but we visited the Ben and Jerry's factory about an hour away, always a tasty experience.
Me and Will fell in love with the landscape and atmosphere of Vermont, the air was so clean and the state so welcoming. It felt good to breathe in non polluted NYC air.
Well the weekend started off with our car ride up there, always fun chatting and catching up with your friends one on one for 4 hours. We arrived at the site around 4pm, set up tents(mine was the retro tent out of the bunch) and then began the fire and campfire hangout.

Saturday it was off to Ben and Jerry's for a tour and some tasty ice cream.

When we arrived back at camp we pretty much got ready and headed off on down the trail to the Quechee Gorge, which was just amazing. Picture a giant river flowing over tons and tons of carved out rock. Some parts of this river had pools, some parts were like river rapids, some parts you can walk out on to, very neat.

The walk back up the trail was not so easy, me and Mel lagged behind everyone because like dopes we didn't wear sneakers, flip flops are not good trail shoes(this I knew but didn't care at the time) By the time we finished the trail, the rain started and it went on and on and on until Sunday morning around 10am. We all gathered around one campsite bonfire where there was a nicely constructed tarp shelter to keep us from the rain.

No the rain did not stop us from having a good time, it just made it wet and muddy. Sunday we packed up and headed on the road making a stop at a great Vermont diner and then the Cabot cheese store and an Antique Mall.

Aside from the flooding rain, damn squitos, random cuts on my feet, and soggy clothes, it really was a great weekend. We met some good people, made some great memories, and of course took tons of pictures which all can be seen here......................................Vermont June 2009
Today I am off and I really wanted to head on off to the beach, but the weather here has just been so ick. Almost every day its grey and rainy, no sun at all. I know I things to do, time to prepare for my trip next weekend to Tenn. for the Sisiversary(I am stressing big time) But it will all fall into place eventually. I guess I about blogged it up today. Till we meet again.
Oh yes, I am a tad sun burned............................which hasn't happened to me in quite sometime. The funniest thing is, its my chin that's burnt and my neck and well under my arm pits a bit, lol. I know, I know, sun block is important but I just wasn't thinking. I got some of it on Saturday while I was at the Renegade craft fair and then the rest of it during our hour beach visit. So I'm a bit ouch.
Ok, enough of that.
The Renegade craft fair was great. It was outdoors in a huge park, it wasn't all cluttered because they actually planned out out perfectly leaving enough walking space for everyone. Behind most of the vendors there was a nice area of trees, so if you got to hot or tired you could just sneak away to that area and relax. There were tons of great artists and crafters alike. I treated myself to a pair of earrings, charm bracelet and two tote bags. My sister went kind of buck wild and bought tons of stuff. haha. I on the other hand, had to hold back a bit because I need to save my spending money for other things happening this summer. Oh, so you want a peek at what I got? Well a really cute charm bracelet from this vendor. Mine was like this bracelet but with a thimble, heart and wishbone.
(this picture is from the P Charming ETSY shop)

This is Mr Goat from an Organic Farm we went to to get some eggs.

The most annoying chicken in the world. He was following me around, trying to peck at my feet and at one point, he umped up on my lap while I was sitting. I of course jumped up and then he proceeded to go through my bags.
I'm off to Brooklyn today for this very happening fair. Over 300 booths, fun fun fun. If you live in the city, or somewhere near Brooklyn, I highly recommend that you make your way over. Check out the site for details.
After that I will be gone till Monday.
Have a great one:)
So June is in full swing I tell ya. As you may know(because I have spoken about it before) on Tuesday we went to the Jimmy Fallon show, and it was so much fun. However, advice for anyone who goes to live show tapping's, be prepared to clap alot(my hands were throbbing by the end of the night) We got pretty damn lucky with the guests they had on, Steve Martin and Paul Simon!!! Who doesn't love those fellows. It was hilarious and at the end of the show Paul Simon played with the Roots(which is Jimmy Fallon's live band) I tried my very hardest to get on air, but I think they may have edited me out. I would have edited me out as well, I was waving my arms around and thought I was looking into the camera but I wasn't. However, Vanessa Williams(oh that's right she was on the show to) mentioned Oyster Bay(that's where I live) and I was hooting and hollering and well that made the show, haha. Oh boy oh boy, I'm famous now:) Here's the episode by the way:
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon - Tue, Jun 2 2009
I am currently cell phone less, eeek. Its not the best feeling, but at the same time, its like hiding out, lol. My best advice to anyone is, don't use Virgin Mobile. It has been an issue every month, and now my newest one is them making unauthorized payments from my Pay Pal account. Its chaos, because I have a claim filed with Pay Pal and my bank, it just never is easy. I choose to you a pre paid plan because I rather not be tied down to one phone company for two years, and now a days its easier to do that, because pretty much all pre paid companies over some good plans. Well I'm sure this is a boring subject, but I needed to rant and let people know that Virgin Mobile needs to get their act together. There ya go. This weekend is The Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn, I cannot wait to go. This time we have an entourage of people(well more then just me and my sister) And this fair will surly be better then the Bust Craftacular for two reasons, its outdoors in a nice park and they have more vendors. That means not having to push your way through a huge mass of people to look at different crafters, not a stuffy atmosphere. After the fair, me and Will will be heading back out east with my friend to spend the weekend and hit the beach, I am long over due for a tan, I am just pasty. Ick.
I need to get my butt in gear for camping. I totally am at a loss for what I need to bring, it has been awhile. Throw me some ideas pleeeeease. I will be going next weekend, there will be about 17 of us, its just gonna be a huge party out in the woods. Today I received my E.L.F makeup I had spoken about. So not only are they cheap, but I received two great freebies and it comes all nicely packaged. The stuff looks fabulous as well, just like any expensive makeup might. I will have to organize my makeup bag and start trying out all of this stuff, cant wait. I also received two nail polishes I drooled over by Essie. They are great summer colors, but also they were named after East end Long Island towns, one of which I used to live in. The names totally go with the towns, just picture places on the water, very summery.
I bought the Greenport one is like a light aqua-ish(the one on the left) and the Sag Harbor one, which is a light grey color(in the middle) Love them.
Well Ive about chatted your eyes off. I just wanted to mention a few blogs I am digging as of lately.
That right, I may be coming to you from tv land tonight. Or maybe not, I will only be in the audience of the Jimmy Fallon show, but if the camera does at all beam on me I will be sure to be waving:)
Should be a good time had by all.
There is a new prompt up over at The Creative Type.
#18 is Altered Alphas...............................so get busy altering those chip board letter, and have a blast doing it. I sure did. As always we have a great guest designer and some good prizes for one lucky winner and tons of inspiration brought to you by the Typists.
Here is my take on the prompt:

Well mine as you can see is all about Summer. Oh how I love and hate summer......................love the beach, the get togethers, the thunderstorms, the memories...........................hate the hot weather and humid feeling, ick.
So I took some Tim Holtz grunge board alphas and through on some gesso, some teal paint and then I glued sequins all over them. They gave off a sweet sparkle that just doesn't play through in these images(I had to use my camera to capture them and it was like 10pm at night. Not so good lighting and I am not photographer.
I hope you can join us and give it your best shot, cant wait to see what you have hidden up your sleeved:)
