Yesterday me and my sister hiked all the way to Greenpoint Brooklyn to attend the Bust craftacular, and well it turned out to be a bust in my opinion. We arrived there around 12:30(it started at 12pm) We were surprised that the line wasn't bad at all, moving right along, all in good timing. The last time we went, re received free re-usable bags with a bunch of goodies in them, but not this time, they had ran out way to early. Once inside we realized just had crowded this little venue was, it was poorly organized, the isles were to narrow or perhaps there was just to many people crammed into one little space. At one point we were at a stand still in the middle isle and people were pushing and complaining, just so obnoxious and not enjoyable. I was able to actually check out one vendor because I was pretty much stuck in front of her table for a good 10 minutes, the poor girl behind the table was telling us how she was stuck behind her table unable to weasel her way through the crowd to the bathroom. After we made our way out of the mass cluster f**k(just had to use that phrase) we decided it was not worth the 4 dollars we invested on entering this show and we decided to leave. Very disappointing. Of course my sister went and complained to the people running the show, but they just didn't want to listen, didn't think it was important I suppose. To bad. There really should have been more crowd control, it was a true fire hazard, not as fun as the last one. And there is my rant on the Spring Bust Craftacular....................maybe better planning next time?!
So aside from the not so good time at the craft fair, we decided to find some new fun. Eventually we stumbled upon the Saint's Alp Tea house over on N 8th street.

They had some great Chinese dishes, lots of different noodle bowls(I had a green tea noodle lunch with shredded chicken), and they also had some tasty bubble tea.

I myself aren't that big on the tapioca part of the drink, I can only take so many of those little chewy things. But I do enjoy the process and the unique tastes that are offered. I had a black Coconut Milk Bubble tea and it was so awesome, loved it.

My sister liked mine better then hers and she winded up getting one to go. After that we just pretty much walked around Greenpoint, there are alot of cute little shops, cafes, and bars around the area. It has turned into quite the young hip, artistic community. To finish up the day we stumbled upon a really cool bar called the Brooklyn Surf Bar. It was like something out of Key West, they had tons of sand on the floor, surf boards on the ceiling and a long list of tropical tiki drinks and crazy shots galore. I will be sure to return again in the near future.

(Some great polaroid transfers at A&G, a really hip home furnishing shop)Well all in all, after the bad beginning to the day, it winded up being a good one. It just goes to show that things don't always have to be planned out! Ok, I'm off to watch Gossip Girl and chill out. Tomorrow I have the day off, and well I need it:)

AND Happy Birthday Jen!!!!
Oh and I cant stop listening to this in the mornings when Im getting ready...........
